Supratim Sarkar

Supratim Sarkar an Engineer & MBA, is a seasoned financial professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He started his career with IDBI in 1995 and later joined SBICAPS, where he worked for over 21 years as a Group Head. There, he led a team of about 300 professionals in various areas of finance, including project finance, corporate finance, structured finance and advisory services for projects bidding, auctions of mines, disinvestments and other strategic areas.

With his vast experience, Supratim has been associated with different committees set up by the state governments and the Government of India. He has been involved in key projects, such as the reintroduction of the Development Financial Institution, the High Power Committee for the resolution of coastal power projects based on imported coal, and the resolution of tariffs for independent power producers in Maharashtra. He has also been instrumental in leading the ideation of the National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCIL), previously known as the National Bad Bank, a significant development in the Indian financial landscape.

Supratim's contributions to the industry go beyond his professional roles. He has been an active participant in industry chambers such as the Confederation of Indian Industry and FICCI. He has represented these organizations in delegations to the US and Canada, along with government dignitaries, and has been a regular speaker at webinars and panel discussions organized by industry partners.

Gopal Agarwal

Gopal Agarwal is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with a remarkable career spanning over 30 years in the field of investment banking and corporate finance. He has held senior leadership roles in prestigious organizations like Adani Group, Bajaj Group, SBICAPS, and IDBI, where he has managed large teams and demonstrated exceptional financial acumen.

Gopal has a proven track record of successfully managing financial closure and refinancing of projects in infrastructure and core sectors, amounting to over $50bn. He is well-versed in devising financing strategies and approaches for fundraising and has been involved in various M&A, structured finance and bidding advisory deals. He has also played a key role in the resolution and restructuring of stressed assets, showcasing his expertise in handling different kinds of financial situations. With his extensive experience, he has established strong relationships and networks with banks, financial institutions, funds, large corporates and other stakeholders in the financial industry. He is known for his exceptional relationship management skills and networking capabilities, which have been instrumental in his success in the field of investment banking and corporate finance.

Subhendu Moitra

Subhendu Moitra has over 33 years of leadership experience across Infrastructure Finance/Advisory, Investment Banking, Project Finance, Resolution of Stressed Assets, Government Advisory, M&A, and Development Banking, across sectors.  Till September 2022 he was working as Chief Credit Officer of IIFCL, an entity of Govt of India for promotion and funding of Infrastructure Projects. He was also member in the Board of IIFCL Projects Ltd, a company engaged in Project Advisory and Infrastructure Consultancy. Earlier he also worked as MD & CEO of a Special Situation Fund / ARC owned by Indian Banks & FIs; as also Senior Vice President & Regional Head of SBI Capital Markets Ltd (SBICAP), a premier Investment Bank of India belonging to State Bank of India Group. For more than 14 years he worked for leading Bank and Development Financial Institution (DFI).

As a leader in his career, he has handled and led teams in a number of landmark assignments both as a lender and as an advisor. He advised and managed relationship with top management and sponsors of Private Corporates, central/State Government Departments, and Chambers etc. and also represented in high level Business Delegation and Seminars and as faculty for Training Sessions.

He is an Engineer with MBA and CAIIB.

Manish Kothary

Manish Kothary is a highly accomplished Chartered Accountant (CA) with around 24 years of experience in the field of investment banking and corporate finance. He has held senior roles in reputed organizations such as SBICAPS, JM Financial, Calyon Bank and Maruti, before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey in 2022.

With his deep expertise and experience, Manish has successfully led teams of professionals and closed mandates in various sectors, including infrastructure (power, road), core sectors (steel, sugar, textile, etc.), real estate, and government advisory mandates. He has a proven track record of handling debt resolution cases in diverse sectors under various RBI schemes, including IBC (Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code) cases.

Manish has a comprehensive understanding of corporate finance services, including debt raising for both Greenfield and Brownfield projects, debt refinancing with value accretive strategies for borrowers to increase tenor and reduce pricing, and various mergers and acquisitions, structured finance and bidding advisory deals. He is also well-versed in the resolution and restructuring of stressed assets, showcasing his expertise in managing complex financial situations.

In addition to his technical skills, Manish has established strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, fund houses, large corporates and other stakeholders in the finance industry, which further enhances his ability to deliver successful outcomes for his clients.

Pranab Kumar Sinha

Pranab Kumar Sinha has an illustrious career with over 36 years of experience in Power Sector working with Damodar Valley Corporation (5 years) and Power Finance Corporation (around 31 years) in the field of Project Finance. He held various senior level position in these organisations leading a large team and retired as Executive Director of PFC during last financial year.

During his tenure at Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (PFC), he led the core appraisal team for a wide range of Power projects - spanning conventional thermal (coal and gas), hydro, and renewable energy (solar, wind, and small hydro), monitoring and reviewing the procedure followed for procurement of goods & services by the Utilities under World Bank, Asian Development Bank & KfW loans through PFC. He has also engaged with the officials of various International Bilateral and Multi-lateral funding agencies such as World Bank, Asian Development Bank, KfW etc. for finalizing and implementing their programmes and projects.

He has managed loan portfolios for projects across the Northern and Western regions of India, covering both in public and private sector entities. He has represented PFC as Nominee Director on the boards of various distribution companies in Rajasthan and Independent Power Producers. Additionally, he has contributed to the development of Ultra Mega Power Projects (UMPPs) of (~4000 MW), overseeing statutory clearances for the project and inter-agency coordination for various developmental activities including land acquisition.

He brings with him a vast set of knowledge and expertise in the Infrastructure sector and being in the Industry for more than 36 years, he has deep understanding of the Infrastructure sector along with good relationship with various stakeholders. Pranab Kumar Sinha is heading our Northern Region and is based out of our New Delhi office.

Anil Kumar Bhardwaj

Anil Kumar Bhardwaj, a Post Graduate in Economics, CAIIB and PGDFA, has extensive experience of over 4 decades in Financial Services sector. He has retired as General Manager from State Bank of India, the largest bank of the country.

Anil Kumar Bhardwaj has worked in various verticals of the bank and held critical assignments like Branch Heads, Regional Manager, Deputy General Manager before superannuating as General Manager. He is a veteran in Corporate Credit and specializes in Project Finance, International Banking and Resolution of Stressed Assets. He has around 25 years of rich experience in Project and Corporate Finance including Financing/Syndicating of Infrastructure Projects especially Power and Roads. He has hands on experience in resolution of stressed assets including Deep Restructuring, Settlements, Assignments and Proceedings in CIRP.
